Shoulder Complex:
Shoulder complex considered as four sub joints.
1.Stenoclavicular joint
2.Acromeoclavicular joint
3.Scapulathoracic joint
4.Glenohumeral joint
The Soulder complex composed uh clavicle, scapula and humerus
Sternoclavicular joint:
•It is a plane Synovial Joint 3° rotation 3° degree translatory
•it has Synovial cavity a joint disc & 3 ligaments
Articulating surface:
•It consists of 2 Shallow saddle Shaped surfaces.
•Medial notch formed by the manubrium of the sternum and first costal cartilage
•Lateral medial end of the clavicle.
Stenoclavicular disc:
•It has fibrocartilage disc or meniscus.
•upper portion of steno clavicular disc attached to the posteriosuperior clavicle
•lower portion of steno classical disc attached to the manubrium and first coastal cartilage.
