Treatment for parasomnias depends on the severity of the symptoms and the type of disorder you are dealing with.
The common treatment options include:
1. Medications, such as antidepressants, melatonin and dopamine agonists. medication helps manage reoccurring parasomnia.
2. Cognitive behavior therapy CBT for dealing with stress and anxiety, helping relieve parasomnia symptoms.
3. Home treatments such as safer sleep environments and scheduled awakenings.
